After you have learned Triads, the next step is Seventh chords.

It is very simple - the simplest chord, the Triad, has three notes: the intervals 1-3-5. In order to make it a Seventh chord, we add on the 7, so we have a four-note chord, consisting of the intervals 1-3-5-7.
Easy peasy.
