More exercises for you. I'm going to redo the explanation part and make it completely doable for a beginner who does not know anything about the scale. Then I can always add more exercises too, if needed. Are these too easy, too hard?

Good lesson Robert. Moving horizontal is exactly what I need to get better at. I know the scale but can't put together good horizontal runs. I assume that as you add more lessons you will add more strings and the runs we learn will grow in complexity.

Focus on lines and licks that are only 5-6 notes. Learn many of those and then you can work on putting several together. It's very important to break things down into smaller pieces. Rome wasn't built in an afternoon, someone said.

Nice exercise. I've been doing something similar on 2 string sets... to help unify the shapes horizontally, as Bill mentions.

Also appears like a place to practice some different picking styles... a bit of legato, alternate and economy picking.
