Well there is a BIG mystery solved. Thank you so much for articulating that mystery note. Great to be conscious of that magical spot on the fret board!! And the theory behind it. To be honest I dont really hear the sour note but will play back my vid and pay closer attention.
I find it challenging to maintain a good level of feeling and at the same time applying all the theory at the appropriate moment.
The bit about how to evolve the piece up and down the neck and when to milk notes and bends and have repetitions etc. is invaluable. And some of those licks you played will come in handy. Very noice! You are an intuitive teacher.
I know I don't have perfect pitch but I do have a good feel for the blues. My arsenal of licks isn't huge but I am gathering more every day especially from your great efforts!
I have really ramped up the practice sessions - up to 4 hours a day.
So with some more practice I will post another video soon if that's OK?
warmest regards, Craig (Wobbly Bob)
PS The scuffle reference is an interesting coincidence. I stumbled upon an old clip of Jimmy Page playing SCIFFLE. Here it is
Sure post more videos! I knew about Jimmy Page and the sciffle - I read a Led Zeppelin book where they talked about his background. He has an amazing amount of skill and knowledge and experience.
I enjoyed the part where you talked about the chord tones. I really need to learn that. So much to learn. I probably should just stop working on everything else and work on that for the next six months.
