So its raining cats and dogs here,  time to restring my Maton 1979 -  12 string.

So good to play after a good many years.

Feeling a bit melancholy with all this inclement weather  so I decided to two of my all time favorites to lift the slump.  Zeppelins' Rainsong' and 'Friends' abridged versions of both.

Something a bit different for a student focus .

The Sky Is Crying, Craig, that was just beautifully played.

Some real finger gymnastics going on and you did that so gracefully.  Mannnny Thanks for posting.

'Splain a little about that tuning for the members, Craig.  Love the open strings, especially on the 12 ringing.

That soundboard looks a bit like Willie Nelson's acoustic Trigger with the hole in the front.

Excellent question Clayton.

Excellent question Clayton.

Master Jimmy Pages' own invention.

From low to high as follows :

D G C G C D.

Basically it's open C with the low and high strings tuned to D. How he came up with it is a mystery.

Here is the TAB version I use. 🎼🎵🎶😀

Seems an easy tuning and a very close relative of open G.  Well, the humidity is rising here with spring coming early so it's time to break out the acoustic!

Thanks Robert/Clayton,   I read recently that a typical musicians day is 15 minutes of ecstatic performance and 12 hours of nagging doubt!  it really helps when more experienced musos take the time to give reflection and encouragement. 😀

Dear Craig,

Just a few hours before taking my flight back home I have the chance to listen your music. It sounds so good. I love it, and very impressive how you play and how it sounds this guitar.

Congratulations and greetings from Sao Paolo......In a few hours I will change the warm sun of Brazil by a atipycally snowed Barcelona.
