Got my new Vance LP S1 (LP Junior) today, the rave goes like this.....
Imagine going back to the 50's and snagging a LP Junior, the same guitar used by the likes of Leslie West and Gary Moore to get their amazing tone
Jump forward to now and create a master luthier handcrafted guitar made from the same select Honduras Mahogany and 4AAA jet black undyed Madagascar Ebony.
Load it up with a Bareknuckles Nantucket p-90 and a NOS Gibson BGE Linear volume control, tie the whole lot down with tonepros locking hardware.
Finish the guitar with 12 coats of nitrocellulose lacquer and top coat it with satin nitro so it ages and shines.
This very guitar was taken to Mark Bartel, the genius behind Bartel Amps out of Baltimore. Mark played this guitar, a low serial number #11 through his personal number 1 Roseland Amp and made the call: "Rings like a bell and sounds like pure rock and roll"
Handmade by Russel Vance at Fyshwick Australia.
Wow, that is nice! Great jam there too!
I met Bartel at NAMM and tried his amps. Nice fellow and amazing amps

Its a real corker!
I thought the playing was kinda sloppy, but I hit a few nice squealers!!
It sounds awesome... congratulations. I know you will put it to great use! Nicely played video as well! Great job!
I've always known Leslie to play a mid 60s Gibson (Sears) Melody Maker..........in fact it was because of him I had once scored two when they were super cheap...........the rarest are the twin pick up models........... Jim C.
Congrats on the new guitar wobbly_bob. Enjoy it a long time!
Ta muchly everbody!
I have an Aussie guitar as well...........Cole Clark FL-1 and love it!! This tune reminds me a lot of Joe Walsh's "All Night Long" which I also always loved.....reminds me of good ole bar room honky tonk fun........nice and raw with a bit of sophistication tossed in for cool measure.......maybe you could do an MGA associated or backed lesson on this arrangement...perhaps??!! Jim C.

Cole Clark are very nice!! Joe Walsh is one of my Icons, I totally love his first 4 solo albums, really defining heis craft.!!
Dont really know what I could offer in the way of a lesson, but would be willing to try,!!
This will certainly give away secrets of my age group (quiet, Chris!!) but.........I 100% cut my teeth on James Gang growing up and if you think about it for the time.......besides Jimi and Jeff and Slowhand.....Joe was cutting edge unique and I recall falling off my seat when I first heard Funk 48 & 49!!! Barnstorming and even the Eagles........when not drunk and drugged up (and Walsh is famous for admitting this too) he's been pound for pound as great a R&R and blues guitarist as there is!! Jim C.

And pound for pound one of the funniest guys there is. Just caught him at a concert at a casino about an hour from here a few years ago.
I love his hilarious (true) story he rambles on and on about that led him to writing his biggest commercial hit song "Life's been good to me so far" or whatever the title..........but the circumstances and trouble and incidents make this song's lyrics like Disney by comparison!! J.W. also does some pretty cool Youtube lessons..........I believe for the Gibson brand............sorry for plugging this here Roberto but they are free and informative plus he's a really cool dude........too...........Jim C.
Couldn't agree more. Joe is essential listening for me. He toured here in Australia with a group called the Party Boys back in the late 70's. Outrageous and wild to say the least.
May be Robert could do a lick lesson in the style of JW.... .hint hints!
