Great ammunition here to spark some Classic Rock n Roll'n. Get this riff down, make your own loop and then kick out some of your own solo notes on top.
Or record it and then play some rhythm accents along with it. Try some muted boogie woogie (an earlier 2 minute lesson) or maybe just some single or double note (see double stops) accompaniment. Let's get the music going, players!
Mother of Paul Rogers this is an addictive 2 minute lesson.
Recordings Attached- Here's some garageband takes on the Classic Rock 2 Minute Lesson. This stuff is rough but I have been so lacking in submitting any recordings that I followed the good call of Brother Craig and just laid it down. Each Track contains RR's bass n drum backing track, and two guitar tracks: The fundamental rhythm track that starts with the Lesson progression; and a second guitar track that is simply experimenting.
For each of the four examples below, the Backing Track and fundamental Rhythm Track remain the same. I just applied different takes while noodling over the progression. See if you can hear some influences that I found floating around the room while playing.
This is shared as musings and exercises exploring tones and notes. Lots of fun.

Thats the stuff, raw and experimental with true grit and heart! Combination of great tone and some really nice lines!
Clayton, you have what it takes bro'. I love the use of delay especially in the third track around 2:30. Very nice indeed. Positively rowdy in places!!
The fourth track has some really lovely chunky riffs and space! Opening corridors of anticipation. Really made me stop and hold my breath for a moment. And the squealer pinched notes really grab me!
Thank you sooooo much for sharing. Very inspiring indeed!!
I love your expression of light and dark! Has a zeppelin quality at times. And also Steve Hillage (about 2 minutes into this one)
Fellas, your enjoyment and appreciation are icing on the cake of self-expression. I am humbled by your words, and so happy to sit down and channel some great vibes into the art we all love to share and create.
I think will keep working some different angles on this Classic Rock backing track. I wanted to hit this with more classic blues rock solo riffs and some double stop runs. The fire has been stoked!
