Recently I try to get up before 6am and have coffee, read what's on the news, study a foreign language, then house chores and most importantly make time to pick up the guitar and come to MGA. Although retired from an actual job these days, I find myself more busy and less time in the day to really practice guitar.
I did start a practice log and I wrote down what I've been doing, but for the last two weeks I just haven't had much time to really do much practicing. Oh, well, I hope this post motivates me this morning to just do it before the wife says to do this, do that, come here and do this...
I know what you mean!
The practice log is the tool to fix practice issues. Write down what you plan to do, what you actually do and what you will do. It works.

Thanks Robert.
That is good advice for me. I actually started out this morning with Minor Pentatonic b3 and well, now I'm finding myself making lunch. So much for my morning schedule. But, yeah it really is important what you mentioned and I'll keep it up. My first month here went by way too fast.
I'm going to try the log. My practice time is too varied and unfocused; too many things to learn, review, drill etc. My rule is to not let a day go by without some practice so that I don't start the downward spiral of skipping which has led to not playing anymore for me before.
