11/10/17 - 1.5 hours. G7 arpeggios lesson to get into swing of a major scale. Bending into the 7th and finishing on the 7th is really cool. Reminds me of Larry Carlton riffs. Started major scale lesson. Stay focused on this lesson for as long as it takes.

Practiced major scale 1 and 2. Many variations and some minor pentatonic included for fun. About 30 minutes total. Restrung taylor. Next need to practice scales with the timed video lesson.

Continue to practice the major scale in 1 and 2 positions. Interesting just how hard it is to break out of minor pentatonic thinking and habits. Guess I'll be on this basic lesson until that happens!

Continuing the major scale. Found a cool True Fire course by Robbie Calvo called Lick Logic. A very cool course in major keys really looking at techniques and some fresh ideas for me. I am working to combine my continued work on the Major scale and using the Lick Logic to bring some other dimensions into the use of the scale. I am committed to staying focused on this before distracting myself with the plethora of cool stuff to learn.
Historically, I find that I often move on to a new shiny penny / cool new thing to learn before truly mastering the present. Not this time! 🙂
