I started to learn this B.B.King solo on Gershwins Summertime (
note by note a few days ago, not primarily "to play it he does" but to get in touch with the unique tone he'd got and the art of playing sophisticated licks out of four notes. And I choose this one because he's obviously so absorbed by what he is doing, that it touches my heart. I hope to finish it in march 2018 to introduce it in a kind of secret surprise during a solo gig I am going to play in april. Unfortunately the chord progressions used is not the one I am playing but I hope I will find my way through it anyway.
As this is my first practice log I am not sure how it will be continued and how it actually works. Ok, so far.
The video doesn't work for me. Perhaps you can try a new link - I'm curious now.
Hello Robert,
sorry, the file is 28 mb mp4 - too big to attach. Because the youtube link in this field opens autoatically a video-window (which doesn't work), I put it in above.
Thanks for your kind attention!
Wolfgang
Here is the link to the BB video from above ... maybe that will work!
BB is always a favorite of mine and surely is a great example to study and emulate.
Thank you for your support!

Thanks Chris, that link worked. Great playing by BB. He was something else.
