My ear took over first and things seemed to begin to flow a bit more easily after I spent many hours going thru this melodious progression.
thankfully I think I'm starting to slow down and listen more deeply. Practice makes perfect, I know...and finally I have plenty of time.
Bob, sharing your art and conveying the passion and dedication to the truth of your growth and expression, is an inspiration. And such inspiration is all the better served with your humility to share "that's what it is now." Thank you for inviting us to the table and creating a communion sharing your effort and emotion, and thanks all the more to you, and others here at MGA, who go the extra mile to create a visual layer to your tapestries.
Oh, yeah... And I really liked the place you made in sound.
@bobkarstens Sounds great Bob love this kind of music!
@clayton Thanks for that affirmation, Clayton, because for me "stepping out" like this in music breaks boundaries and even though it's hard to be satisfied with "how things are now"... but you know how important it is I think, to feel understood and communicating something that gets across from what's inside.
I think the next learning step for me is to plunge into the Hybrid scale that you've been recently discussing. It makes sense to me to see the interval pattern on the FB like that because I can't see me memorizing the chord numbers along with their note names for 12 keys then trying to memorize the arpeggios, etc. Way complicated and "it ain't me babe." I think I might be musically dyslexic or something since I feel like a visual or pattern learner more than anything.
