Great chat session Robert. A lot of great info and tips on how to incorporate the minor and major sound into a blues 12 bar progession.

Maybe you can do a followup session on how you actually use the all those ideas and your thought process when you are compising a solo or just noodling over a 12 blues?

Hey Robert.

Two ideas (that I'm struggling with) for the next chat, and both related to the goal of my playing, and of everybody else, I guess: To become better at improvising.

1) How to keep track of the rhythm when soloing, ie. where am I? - "what is the next chord?", "which bar is it now" etc. etc. I know it has a lot to do with feeling and experience, and I'm getting closer each day. But if you have some kind of advice/shortcut, it would be a huge help.

2) How do I use the licks that I've learned in your lessons (and eventually mastered:)) in other types of songs with other rhythmic patterns? I think it's more important to become familiar with 20 licks that you can perfect with more feeling (vibrato etc.) and small twists than learning 100 licks that you never get to master. After completing the lessons, I'm always left with the feeling of "now, what?". The lessons have taught me a lot but only slightly improved my improvisation skills. I'm thinking there must be a lot of usefullness in the lessons, that could be applied when improvising. But how?

Thanks again for a cool forum!

/Michael
