Yesterday I had PRP injections in both shoulders. I made a video for you - see below.
This is for treating a partial thickness tear in my Susprinatus muscle. It was an interesting experience. First they draw blood (like Count Dracula). Then they put into a centrifuge and spin it for 30 minutes.

They separate the plasma, platelets & white blood cells and red blood cells. The highly-concentrated platelets are then injected directly into damaged tissue to stimulate the body’s own healing process.
The pain was minimal because they used freezing. Last night and this morning however, I was in a lot of pain. It's temporary so I'm not worried. It sure was an interesting experience!

Robert, I hope that the therapy works 👍, that the thickness tear in the muscle dissolves and that you can play the guitar again without any problems.

Get well soon,

Birgit

Nice backing track for the Shoulder video.  RR, How about you post the backing track and we take a shot at adding in some guitar?

And now, the latest hit from PRP and the Injections!

Good luck with your recovery and be kind to those shoulders.

Thanks, RR!  My Wednesday night jam practice was cancelled so this will be my source of sonic solace.

And I've had my share of shoulder issues so I wish you the Very Best on this process.  Oh, yeah, and be good to those shoulders when your walking Pepper and the Pup.

Did you get that from running?  I'm in the same position but mine is in the knee. Going on 2 months now walking with a cane. No cycling/touring of Japan this spring for me.

I hope you success in your operation, Robert.

Not from running - from repetitive stress - long days of computer work doing video, photo and audio editing for a couple of decades.

I had a setback on Friday. I had to move something heavy and I thought just sliding it sideways would work. I think ended up lifting a bit at the same time. I didn't even know I was doing it and BAM it hurt like I'd been stabbed with a knife.

I'm seeing the doc next week. I hope I didn't wreck something. The procedure cost me $500 and I may apparently need a few of them... I might have to fundraise! 😯

I really all goes well for you. Today I was able to walk up and down the stairs without a cane. Took 7 weeks.

I hope this gives you the encouragement you need right now.
