For 2 days I was having chest pains, so today I went to the hospital and got an ECG, Xray and blood test.

The ECG showed nothing wrong, lungs were in good shape, blood test showed some stuff, but nothing to sweat.

Doc could on give me some pain pills since nothing really showed up. So I'M VERY HAPPY today.

Glad you're ok.  In the blood work you mentioned did they mention "heart enzymes"? You said "showed some stuff".  Did they do a test called "troponin"?

Thanks Esteban.  Not sure what had really caused the extreme pain, but I just started doing the touching the toes and did like 300 bends, not sure if that caused it.  Got a mild pain killer. Hopefully in the next several days the pain goes away. Again, thank you.

Hi matonanjin, I'm going to have to translate the Japanese kanji into English, but I know she said something about "inflammatory" on the blood, but I'll check the list today. I think 3 things were a bit high.

National Health insurance here is affordable. All this testing plus the meds cost me about less then 80 USD or about 8000 yen.  I don't think it could be done that low price in the States.

I'll post more results later in the day. Maybe you can explain also what the numbers mean.

Again, thank you.

Thanks Robert.  If the pain goes away then I think I'll be just fine. The test ECG and x ray all came out just fine. Blood test did have a few irregularities in it, but nothing to get to concerned about.

As you know know, the corona virus has hit Japan.

And I trust today your picture will not be found with the honored ancestors shelf?

HBJ, I hope this has resolved without further incident.

sounds like it could be pericarditis, which is totally treatable. Wishing you all the best of health HBJ.

Tomorrow I'll post an update. Hospital visit.  I haven't had time to translate the medical evaluation from Japanese to English yet, sorry about that.

Craig, I'll ask the doctor about pericarditis tomorrow. Thanks.
