I'll be on the sidelines for a week or so. Cut the tip of my right middle finger and sliced the nail. Probably spend some time working on fingering chord tones/triads/arp's on the fret board with left hand.

Bummer Ivan. I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like a really bad cut. Take good care of it. I hope you recover fully and heal quickly.

Ugggh, that sounds wicked.  Sorry to hear that, brother.

But it sounds like you have a plan to make lemonade.  Put some antibiotic creme on that slice and stay away from sharp objects.

Thanks guys. Sometimes things happen for a reason I guess. Good time to reflect on what I think I know about the guitar.

Sorry to hear that. Last year I almost cut my index finger off with a chain saw. I was lucky and had a good surgeon repair it. I found that 8 weeks off actually was the rebirth of  my love for the guitar. Good luck

Haha.....sure.

Actually dropped my bike in the driveway while cleaning it. My finger got caught between the front brake lever and concrete. Followed by a "oh s........!"

Really sorry to hear, Ivan. Speedy recovery!

I have to say though, Clayton's comment is the funniest thing I've read all year.

Thanks, I'll be here at the Airport Lounge until Tuesday.

Oh, the heavy pinch is awful, Ivan.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

But did your heroic efforts spare the Bike from a scratch?

And truth be told, I'm glad you're taking the time to see your instrument from a different angle.  Like Greg said, you know I gained some insight from my weeks in a sling.

Not quite. I have to replace the lever. Snapped off about two inches. No big deal, just st a pain.

Hope your traveling schedule resumes soon!
