I just went through my favorite coffee drive through. And, as usual, had the music playing at pain levels. It was blasting Robin Trower on satellite radio. Pulled up to the window and the adorable little girl handed me my large white mocha and said, "That will be $5.32 and I love Robin Trower!". What!?!?! She looked about 15 but was probably college age. I thought, "You weren't born yet when Robin Trower was in Procol Harum. You're parents probably weren't born yet!". And it wasn't something recognizable like "Too Rolling Stoned" or "Bridge of Sighs". It was a song called "A little Bit of Sympathy", which I have never heard. If I were to stereotype, which I, unfortunately, can be known to do, I would have predicted her to like something like Beyonce or Taylor Swift.
I said to her, "You can't like Robin Trower!". She replied with, "I've always liked Robin Trower". There was a car behind me and that was the end of the conversation. But I drove off thinking, "Maybe there is hope"
"Sun don't shine, the moon don't move, the Gods look down in anger on this poor child." Maybe not, seems the music Gods smiled on the brew thru!
And as she is so young I would say you have experienced Star Wars episode 4. 😉
