I’ve kept my promise: Here are some pictures from this morning on my way from Lucerne to Meggen to the Obermattstrasse where Jim C., our member at MGA, lived for 5 years when he was young. A really beautiful residential area!
The weather wasn't that good for fotos, Jim, but I hope I can keep your memories alive.

Birgit....this is really beatiful. I love it so much!!!!!. Incredible landscape.
What a beautiful area! I enjoyed the pictures! Thanks Birgit!
Now I really miss international travel. Spain cancelled last year 🙁and postponed until May 2022. And here Birgit is so kind to share pictures from home.
OK, here's another pic on Lucerne from Spring 2019. So many places to go...
Birgit, I do love Switzerland.
These are super, Birgit!! I still have dreams of all this great backdrop and I actually climbed Pilatus three times as a kid.....sans any cable cars or anything other than my boots and climbing stick!! My dad and I would then ski down the entire mountain as snow and conditions allowed!! Intermediate perhaps to many but no small feat for a then 10-11 year old American kid used to the foothills of NJ or NY!! I (we) would both love to return there some day but we'd better first win a major lottery!! Thanks for bringing back these great memories and I'm certain MGA members (even Roberto!) can see why I requested this and loved it so as I'm certain you do as well every day, Birgit!! Jim C.
It was a great pleasure reading all your nice comments, Esteban, Chris, Clayton, and especially Jim’s remarks 😊.
Thank you so much.
I had a lot of fun taking these pictures,
Birgit
Wieder: Danke viel mal, Birgit!! You're a natural photographer and this day was a rare beauty of a nice day actually as the one complaint my parents and siblings had about Luzern (the natives used to refer to it as the sink of Europe because of the natural mountain range and lake that created a natural basin for rain clouds......I do not make this up) was the frequent cloud cover but no place more beautiful on Earth especially when the sun was shining!! Along with MGA guitar study I suggest photography as a great hobby for you!! We used to ski to school down the hill into town and leave our skis behind the (Kern?? I recall??) Hotel and usually trudge back up the hill with the skis afterwards. For some reason as I recall it was far more fun going downhill!! :> ) Jim C.
