Sounds like the name of a strange song... 🤔

Anyway, tomorrow morning, I’m seeing a surgeon for my hip injury. I have some cartilage damage that I hope he can fix for me. I’ve been waiting 1.5 years already.

I am very anxious to find out what he can do for me.

Thanks for the update. I'm thinking this is good news for you. I know you have been bothered by this hip problem for quite a while. It will be good if the surgeon can fix it for you, even if it takes a while.

For what it is worth. I have 3 friends who are going through complete hip replacement surgeries right now. They are all doing great and optimistic that they will be back to walking normally and without pain very soon.

I am considering surgery for one of my knees, which has a similar [I think] recurring problem and  is acting up once again.

Best of luck!

I'm a bit worried about recovery... it can take many months to be back to normal, apparently.

I hope this will not impede my playing and teaching! The future will let me know, I guess.

I suppose recovery may have some discomfort and not be really enjoyable. However, fixing the problem and knowing you are on the road to full recovery may help to make up for it.

Just think, you will likely have more time for playing and lessons while recovering...

My wife had a complete hip transplant and was back to normal in short order... she's done great...

I think the toughest part may be the anxiety during the 3-6 months you are waiting for the procedure to be done.

Good luck.

Don't tell me you're going to become one of those Hipsters I see wearing bad 70'd throwback fashion. I am glad to hear your condition has a clear path for repair.  PT can be very helpful and maybe make you stronger than before the issue arose.
