Darn!!! I will be picking up my wife from the airport. I'll have to catch the replay. I'm sure it will be very educational.
Robert, I’m particularly pleased that you will talk about rhythm in today’s live stream, as I’m now digging deeper into 16th note funky strumming using hits and scratches and learning 7th, 9th and 13th chords.
I’m glad that you will provide us with expert tips and tricks for practicing 👍.
Same as Ron, I’ll watch the replay.
Thanks a lot, Birgit
I am glad that you save recordings of the live streams as I don't think I will be able to make it live this time either. Thanks for recording these for us.
There is a lot of gold and inspiration in the archives.
Will you be introducing a new guitar this time...? 😉
Robert, don’t worry, even computers can have a bad day 😉
but you handled it very well.
You gave us a lot of information, how to practice rhythm.
You described very impressively why we should always use a metronome. I was very surprised to hear that you still use a metronome for practicing, that’s, as you said, « a lifelong project ».
Furthermore, you gave me a new perspective on how to look at a metronome: that a metronome is so « unforgiving » and why it is much better to go the «hard way» practicing with a metronome instead of using a groovy jam track.
And I will keep in mind your advice to play through scales experimenting with different note values. A big point!
Finally, more strumming patterns and specific exercises for 16th notes would be a great topic.
Thanks a lot,
Birgit
Thanks for the feedback, Birgit! I really appreciate it.
Birgit needs to make a short video on her Meggen walks and specifically Obermattstrasse where I grew up and post this here!! OK.....she doesn't need to but it would obviously give me a ton of inspiration and some fond memories of my youth age 10-15!! It's been only a few years............
