My Thursday night jam sessions with band mates always produces creative materials. Each evening session results in 90-120 minutes of music. Typically there are four to six jams per session, and any one jam can last as long as 30+ minutes. Several weeks ago we had a single jam last 68 minutes.
Once the jam recordings are mixed down we will break each jam file into sections according to where the vibe changes in the jam. Effectively each jam file is similar to an album side with several songs or sections that are continuously connected.
Well, here's a tasty piece pulled from the first jam in the Dinner Party sessions.
Remember, these sessions are entirely spontaneous. And lots of fun because each player is open to creativity and free of judgement.

Kinda mid/late 70's vibe, huh? Always interested in what influences and tones they hear.
