Ivan. That was an excellent take. Bot you and your guitar sounded awesome. Well done!
Holy $h°t, Ivan that was an awesome response- I feel like I'm sitting in an old juke joint listening to two bluesmen trading solos. Tone, phrasing, tension, and all that beautiful Reverb. Sweet use of those double stops to thicken the pickin!
That is tasty Ivan! You have great feeling.
This going great so far - let’s hear more members jam on this!
I'll take the next shot at How Slow Can You Go Am Blues.
1. Craig
2. Ivan
3. Clayton
Here's the 3rd solo, 24 bars on Q'tine Am Slow Blues. I don't know what got into me but it was fun to kick over the amp at the end.
There seems to be about 12 bars left on this track- someone should close the door on this sad toned suarez.
Solid playing Clayton. Nice improvising ideas with a silky touch.
👍
Yeah, man, it is eggciting to hear all the contributions, influences and creations at MGA. I certainly hope we maintain the momentum.
Great work there, Clayton! NAILED IT!
I love your tone here too. Sounds like a bridge humbucker? That delay fits in beautifully. See, tone is important as well when jamming.
You speak the blues, brother. Keep talkin'.
Mucho Gracias, Robert, that means a lot! I was thinking a bit Jimmy Page I can't quit you neighborhood so I turned to my trusty tele. Bandido is on quarantine at my drummers house.
This was a 2008 American Tele on bridge running through a Maxxon OD808 (the tubescreamer manufacturer) and then MXR Carbon Copy with about 20% on the delay dial, then into GB where I used the Cheap Studio Time Rig (I think that's kinda Marshall'y).
Really happy to be back on the recording habit- makes me think about playing better and consistently.
Interesting, I thought it sounded like a humbucker.
Carbon Copy puts a Little color on the tone, and with the Maxxon and GB Marshal head, that bridge can get thick.
It was a keeper for tone.
