I had a former guitar student, who is also a vocalist, ask me if I could record her singing our anthem. She performs at rodeos sometimes, and the question had come up if she could send an audio file to events she's not able to attend.

So, I brought out my AT2035 condenser mic, and recorded her.

Here I have attached 2 versions of the same one. I have changed them slightly in terms of reverb and eq.

Which one do you think sounds the best?

She has a beautiful voice and sang it beautifully.

I listened to both versions with headphones and I honestly cant' hear any difference between them. Sorry....probably not a lot of help.

I'm kind of guessing but I think the one on the bottom is 'wetter' more verb on it. I may be imagining it, but if I had to pick one I think I might prefer the one on the top,

She does a great job and I thinnk either one would be suitable.

BTW I meant to also say... very cool how the files are embedded in the post. I like it.
