Bit of a lash at the "Uncomfortably Insensitive" backing track.
Great tone man!
Channeling the Gilmour vibe well.
This is a good tune to practice triads/arpeggios over (chord tones).
You sound great. I would suggest trying to develop some thematic ideas that you build upon. Also, try to leave more space between licks and lines for more "air". Hang on a note for a while, now and then.
Overall, fantastic job! My comments are just suggestions.
I have been playing to a similar backing track for many years. I think if you listen a few times - mine already has those qualities that you are suggesting. I feel it captures a similar emotion to the Floyd version. 😊

Yet another fine study. Well done man! Sounded great.
Thanks Chris, much appreciated.
Curious on your amp/tone/pedal/effects set up.......my guess it's one of those latest pre amp deals but if not and affordable..........I'd love to hear about it! Jim C.

Hey Jim, I use an MXR compressor, Orbit Flanger and an old DOD overdrive for the first part of the solo. The chorus is compressor, a smidge of overdrive and some phaser and DOD delay going through an AMPEG reverberocket Amp on a clean channel. Took a lot of tweaking to get it where I wanted. Still wasnt happy with the main solo so I added Native instruments Guitar rig to the mix and found a great little plug in called Control room which can emulate various amps. Also added a reverb plugin. Post production I eq it through IZOTOPE Ozone ver 7 to really brighten the mix. Guitar rig is awesome in that you can really achieve next level sounds. IMHO
