Bored today,  so I looked through the backing tacks here on MGA and found 'Mary had a little Calf'.

Pretty nice,  so I just cut loose and went a bit experimentally crazy- as you do.

Last 3 minutes were OK.  Let me know

That's awesome! I think the backing track could be lower volume on this track. Your excellent lead guitar deserves to be heard more.

Thanks very much RedFloyd,

and Robert,  I took your advice and remixed it with adjusted volume.   Here is the whole 9 yards.

Hey Bob

The first thing I notice now since I've tried to listen to most of your music  is that you really have mastered your signature style of playing. What is so cool about it, is the bounce in your playing.

Nice of you to say Joe.   Still a long way to go to "master' status. 😎

That is better but I think you could bring up your guitar even more.

ALmost missed this one. Great job Craig! I do like the guitar louder and might not mind if it were kicked up a bit more... Excellent work!

Thanks Chris, I did try it even louder and it seems to drown the backing a bit. This is the third mix. I'm pretty happy with it .Let's see what the Master thinks.

Maybe your guitar could be a a tad louder, but I also think the rhythm guitar on the track is too loud. It sounds like the lead guitar and the rhythm guitar is fighting for attention.

Okay,  fourth times a charm,  or have I gone too far the other way?  Ha!

BTW Do you have the original backing track and can you adjust the rhythm guitar?

IMHO The best yet... Yeah as Robert put it the rhythm guitar and lead guitar are fighting for attention. so is/was it the rhythm guitar too loud and/or lead guitar not loud enough... ?

Not to get repetitive but great job with this Craig!

I have provided a new version in the 25 jam tracks folder: "mary had a little calf 2" and the rhythm guitars are much lower volume now. Too low - let me know! (hey that rhymes).
