Heres my solo as part of a global collaboration.
Sounds great!
Wow some crazy good licks in there! I LOVE what you do from 0:20 seconds onwards. Wow!
Bringing this back to the top of forum discussion.
Craig, I kept thinking EC with Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. C'est Magnifique!
It is really cool. Craig, did you compose any parts of the solo or was it all improvised?
@robert I composed this one but play it slightly differently each time as my feeling at the time dictates how I play. So I have a general framework that has structure that may change slightly each performance leaving room for new ideas to emerge.
Really great job my friend!
@wobbly_bob, Craig, I would still like to know how your excellent solo is integrated into the global collaboration you mentioned.
Thanks for sharing,
Birgit
@bluesiline hi Birgit. It's very simple really. I have several friends around the world who play guitar. We choose a nice backing track and each of us play a solo and record it (video as well). Then we upload our work to the cloud and I then mix the audio and video into one file and share it with the group.
We could do that here at MGA too if anyone is interested. I'm keen! 😊
@wobbly_bob, Craig, thanks for your clarifications. Your project sounds great.
Seeing how wonderful you made your video again with the effects, with great attention to detail 👍, I can also imagine how much fun (and work, of course) it was for you to combine all the videos into one.
As for the MGA collaboration, I could easily see a power trio - Robert, Clayton and you - getting such a project off the ground?
Birgit
You bet, we could do that. We did in the past and unfortunately not many participated. We could give it a try though.
What kind of tune would you like? I can try something with Band In A Box.
Hi Craig @wobbly_bob, and @robert,
I can't leave you hanging even though I have weak knees.
You know I'm still very limited with my guitar skills.
I can't improvise yet, but I could learn one of Robert's solos and play it to the backing track you chose.
I could then make a video of it.
Unfortunately I am limited with bpms, Robert, but I would prefer a
12 bar shuffle rhythm in the key of A with 120 bpms.
I'm also launching another call to
Clayton, @clayton,
Ron, @matonanjin
Joe, @hillbilly_joe,
André,@stevie-dre
to maybe join in as well?
That would be a great commitment of the MGA members 👍 .
As Craig put it so well:
Sounds like fun!!
Birgit
@bluesiline I'm not the best player, but this seems a nice challenge to try. So I'm in too, just like you Birgit. 😀 🎸
