Feels pretty great when you manage to get it 'in the groove' so to speak, and play fluidly, right??!! Next step is to take it into different grooves....plus keys.....slow blues, shuffle..........whatever style you like.........Robert's constantly on my case to transpose, transpose.....and he's right!! Guitar is so flexible that we all need to follow suit and 'go with the floe' and make it our own!! Very nice!! I can certainly hear your improvement!! You've been paying close attention to our nice Canadian/Swedish friend up north I can certainly tell!! Jim C.

Now if you care to tackle a neat course of Roberto's that absolutely helped me a ton on rhythm guitar (again.......it's me and my tastes and it's a bit of a challenge but the ole slow and steady wins the day!!) then work on his nice chord embellishments course (Jimi style)!! This course has helped me learn to pull elements that make up some cool guitar chords and break this all down while getting that all vital touch and tone and timing down as well as sounding pretty impressive!!

Hello Sandie

Compliment to you for your solo. I’m impressed. Your recording sounds so great together with the backing track.

As I’m new to recording (I got a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and a microfone yesterday!) I have a question on how you manage recording your solo together with the backing track:

- Do you record your guitar solo together with the backing track via the microfone or

- Do you play the backing track in garageband and record only your solo and mix it together in garageband.

By the way, I would use Audacity instead of Garageband.

Thanks a lot and enjoy your playing.

Birgit

Thank you very much Birgit!

This one: Do you play the backing track in garageband and record only your solo and mix it together in garageband.

I'll check Audacity out. Thanks for the tip. 🙂

I look forward to hearing you play.

@bluesiline

Birgit, Please tell me why you like Audacity over Garage Band.

Thanks!

Thank you Sandie for your reply.

The way you do it, works for me too! I have tried it today. But it will take some time, until I’m ready to present my first recording.

I have spoken about audacity, but I made a mistake, sorry, but I’m German speaking : I wanted to say that I will (not would !) use audacity for my recording. Garageband is is such a powerful program. You don’t have to change the program. I would use it too, but I have a Windows PC and Garageband is only working on Macintosh.

Thanks

Birgit
