Hi guys,  here is the video from jam 7. A Floydian Daze. In the style of Pink Floyd.

Great energy from all involved.  Thank you all for your patience and fine performances.

I would like to take our Jam 7 as an opportunity to ask if there are any MGA members who would like to participate.

It's so much fun to play together with members from different countries. And you learn an incredible amount.

We get a backing track in a certain style and everyone can then prepare their solo individually at home and adapt it to their individual abilities.

Robert also does a live video stream for each jam where he gives us lots of tips on how to play the solo over the backing track. That's incredibly helpful. And you can always ask questions.

You can decide if you want to create just an audio track or a video.

At the end, Craig brings us together in a final mix. And he does it with a lot of creative flair!

If you would like to take part, please get in touch with Craig (wobbly_bob).

Thanks Birgit

Robert, I just looked at your analysis of Jam 7. Very well done, even with the Jam on the screen in the background 👍.

I can take a lot from your analysis of all the participants. It's great how you picked out individual parts and motifs and broke them down.

It's also good that you verbalized the notes again with your voice. That was a very important part for me and sharpened my ears once again.

Another important point you mentioned was the tone we used. So I'm going to work on that too.

I will watch the video a few more times and take notes!

Thank you again for this detailed analysis. Feedback is so important and helps to improve our guitar playing.

Birgit

@robert Thanks so much for the very helpful analysis. It really does open new windows on how to view our own and others work with an eye to continuous improvement. The entire Jammers experience is extraordinarily beneficial to both playing and "presenting" our self-made videos at the same time.

Hi Robert. The feedback was excellent. Duncan your solo reminded me of early Floyd -as per Meddle and Obscured by clouds.

Birgit your solo had some beautiful lines and told a story.

Chuck really nicely played and had a great feel.

I liked the F in the chord progression and felt it added a mystery and darkness to the piece. So following the chord change felt appropriate to emphasise that mood. It kinda reminded me of really early Floyd pre-Gilmour. Loads of bands use that style of change to really make moody music.

Robert your overall analysis had excellent knowledge which will help us progress musically. You should promote this video especially if you will be doing more moving on.

Thanks everyone! I will make more feedback videos for the other ones. It's still hectic at home for several reasons and we are going on a holiday next weekend until Feb 16. Will have lots to catch up on when I return.

I feel sad about the fact I've been unable to produce any new lessons as of late. This will improve in 2025 - I promise.

Thanks for your patience as things fall better into place at home.
