We lost American Singer Songwriter John Prine to the Pandemic. A very dear friend honored Prine by recording and sharing his favorite tune, and then asked me to record and share my favorite JP tune. So here is my Acoustic take on Angel From Montgomery.
If anyone feels inspired, please take the track and add some love.
Sorry this kinda took my time away from the Quarantine Jam, but have to share and honor this wonderful human being.
Thank you so much Clayton, there is time to honor everything and evrybody!!!!

Thanks, Craig, when I was laying down these tracks I thought you might have just the right note bends to help with some pedal steel accents and maybe a little more shimmer.
So sad about Prine, truly an American poet.
That is great, thank you Clayton. Prine sure was a great songwriter. I've played this song in bands many time. I really enjoy Bonnie Raitt's version.
@robert, Thanks for having a listen. This week was my first time playing this tune. That 60 bpm is difficult to maintain listener attention without the lyrical tones of Bonnie or even JPs authentic voice. After I finished the tracks, I played the project at 68 bpm and liked it more.
Yet, the challenge of playing slow is a skill to be honed.
Here's Bonnie & John performing together in Austin not too long ago.
I have added my brush strokes to this already beautifully crafted version by Clayton.
The space is what defines this piece so I didn't want to over state. Less is more.
So with Claytons permission here is Angel from Montgomery

Well done - spacey and pretty. Reverb and delay are the best effects sometimes! Maybe I’ll should try to cook some acoustic tunes for May’s jams?

Thanks Robert, acoustic jam! What a great idea!
Pretty indeed. Great playing by both you guys. Thanks for sharing Clayton and Craig.

Acoustic Jams would be fun- tis the season now that I can leave the guitar hanging in the humidity.
I do have a project or three on the brain for the acoustic train.
Craig, thanks again for the shimmer and shine. Great energy.
