Kind of just going with the winter wind on this one.
Thanks.
Thanks.
You are welcome. Thanks for listening.
Joe, what an interesting recording!
You are very creative, again another new Hillbilly Joe sound.
It would be great if you could describe a little bit how you organized this recording with all the different sounds.
Thanks for sharing, Birgit

I think my playing ( or attempt to play ) is like the wind, always changing.
What I do or at least try to do is color my notes with what I think sounds fitting for the FX's I use. I generally stay with a slight reverb, delay, compressor and something called a filter.
I record the drums first ( real drums, but not by me. provided by riffworks, yes they cost, not much though ) Then I record the rhythm track clean and then experiment with sounds that fit my thoughts and record then. After that I put in the lead guitar with a variation of sounds also. Since I lack in some ( many ) parts of music playing, I honestly try to color my stuff with sounds. I try not to hide my mistakes though by throwing in sounds. Its kind of really just pure playing from the heart, I think so anyway.
That's very cool! Groovy.
Hello Robert
Kind of like the 60's LOL
Thanks for your comment.
Nicely done! Cool... like a winter wind!
Hey jestme
Well, I do try to expand my musical thoughts on a higher landscape. LOL
Thank you, Joe, for your explanations. I think talking about our recording tools is very interesting for many of our members.
On the other hand this is a way to get new information (in your case on « riffworks ») for trying out new things.
Am I right that you are working with REAPER?
Thanks Birgit

Hi Brigit
Yes, you should try Riffworks. It comes with a set of drums that are actually done by real drum players. And you can buy more drums also. Its a recording tool like Reaper actually. I sometimes export what I'm doing on Riffworks into Reaper to get another type of wave track on the one I put into Reaper. It usually ends up just being a fun project. Just like to experiment with Reaper's installed FX's. I need to install some plugins now, not sure which ones to chose from, so many free ones these days.
A few people on here use Reaper and they know the ins and outs of it, for me, not yet.
