Hi here's hoping this uploads. Really new at this. This is from the June 13 Live Stream session about triads for lead. D minor Latin blues. IRig 2 to Garageband. No pain no gain.
Room for someone to add on.
Hey Dano
Nicely done. I think you got it going! Great job... and pretty quick I might add!
Wow, that's so nice! I can hear you improvising, coming up with nice ideas that you sometimes anchor with these triads. It's a really good start. Next, I would recommend you try and dig in a bit, and use some blues licks/runs you already kn ow, but think about those triads while you do that. Sometimes, you can resolve a lick on one of the triad inversiond for a really strong resolution of an idea. It shouldn't be done all the time, because that makes one's playing too predictable and static sounding. However, once in while, it can be jawdroppingly cool!
Robert,
Really really great lesson. What I need work on or help with is seeing the pentatonic notes under these grips. But just using these notes is an amazing revelation. Seems like I could have fun with this all day.
Thanks for the jam DanO, I added my contribution at 1:36
@wobbly_bob very sweet phrasing there. I think recognize some lines from Low Income Blues!
I certainly like hearing that A major triad in your playing now and then as the progression ends. Makes for a strong statement, me thinks.
