Esteban- like the Dirty Boys jam last year.
What a great jam! Real alchemical brew! You are both on fire in this one!!
I've noticed there is quite a bit of space in the last minute or so. Mind if I have a lash? 😎
Yeeeeesssss
Craig, be my guest and have join the fun. If memory serves me right, this started from a backing track that Robert posted for a series of quick rock licks. Well, Esteban comes back from a long trip overseas and has to work out some frustrations so he lays down a minute or two solo over the backing track. I then asked Esteban to re-record the solo with space for a call and response. So Esteban has the Call and I have the response. THEN, I decided to morph the backing track and extend it into several more minutes SO... using a garageband drummer I created my own bass line (which sounds much like "How many more times") and added in rhythm guitars, in hopes that another player would pick up the axe and chop some wood. You can hear the backing track changeover at the solo crescendo and the dual notes hanging in the air when the new bass line comes walking into the jam space.
C'mon and join the Dirty Boys solos.
Here is my addition to Dirty Boys. Comes in at about 3:50. 🤠
Wow, you grabbed right onto that transitional vibe. Craig, you exited the capsule and took a cool walk right through the space on that groove. Your expression and use of modulation, starting with the reverse and then throwing the guitar into forward with the delay and deep verb was brilliant. That's a wonderful compliment to my backing track groove. Cheers, Mate!

Loved the groove you made in the backing track. Very clever placement and separation. Tasty tonal choice and the drums were a solid foundation to climb to lofty heights . The curves launched my mind into a floydian space and I had to respond.
Shine on.... I did some acoustic Floyd work last year, mostly rhythm and a little melody noodling, lots of fun. And yeah, lots of space. Almost ran into Bowie out there in practice space.
I would Love to hear some other player's jumping into jams or submitting some of their practice efforts. Simply getting into any level of recording changes a player exponentially.
You Guys are so active. I love it. These days and working hard on Doc and Friends but this morning I was playing over call and response. I can upload but I am not so satisfied on my performance......
Trying to balance holidays, new work, and family these days but moving forward with playing. This week was Can't You Hear Me Knockin.
Did you record it?
Yes, Yes. I would like to re-hear....
Esteban
No recordings, just grinding out the intro and sections, converting Keith's part to standard tuning (Keith Plays in open G), and getting a feel for the sax and Ron Wood solo. Played a little with the drummer last night- intro and verse is rough.
The solos are easier than the main intro and verse.
You should give open G a try. It's surprisingly easy and sounds amazing. All bar Chords with a suspended addition ~really easy. Totally worth the time, can't recommend it enough. Opens up a whole new world of possibilities. 🎷🎸🎼
