Here's a jam from the Deep C Studios vault:  I created the backing track and then traded call and response with my cohort, Esteban.

Oh yes, Dirty Boys, what a rocky drive and even the beginning surprises with a lot of energy. Wow! I’m thrilled and I’m amazed how well you and Esteban can adjust to each other.

I didn’t know that the two of you had already worked together. You only mentioned once that you would visit him next year.

Clayton, could you please explain how the whole thing went. Here is my unexperienced idea: You made the backing track, then Esteban made a recording (or the other way round) and you gave the answer (or the other way round) on a separate track and then you mixed everything together ?

I’m looking forward to your answer,

Birgit

@bluesiline You are correct!  I borrowed a drum and bass backing track from one of Robert's Rock Lessons.  Hmm, I cannot remember the lesson name.

I took the lesson drum and bass track then added my rhythm guitar and sent it to Esteban for his "call" solo.  Esteban left space for my "response" solo that I recorded when Esteban was finished.

NOW, I recorded a second backing track for the second half of the project.  There's the breakdown on the long sustain crescendo where I changed to GarageBand drummer at the same bpm and I recorded a new baseline (actually, it is the bass line from How Many More Times, ZEPPELIN).  After the transition I experimented with recording/playing several layers of rhythm guitar.  The second half is just me playing around.   YES, this was a long distance call and response jam with Mr. Hard Rock Esteban.  Fun and challenging.

@Esteban, I knew you would appear if I picked up a guitar and said your name Three Times! Esteban, Esteban, Esteban....Poof!

@blues-lover, Mr @esteban was on fire 🔥.  I could feel the heat across the Atlantic.

And @wobbly_bob, has posted some awesome virtual jams from Australia and Canada!
