What a great tune and a great tribute 👍.
Excellent played and sung with a lot of expressiveness, as always. I’m excited.
Big compliment,
Birgit
By the way: I would love to see the Warp Kings actively playing again in one of the next videos 😊.
Thanks Birgit!
I must confess my ignorance of Gord Downie, proof that I am not Tragically Hip 🙄

+1. And from Wiki, "He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and popular artists in Canadian music history." And I had never heard of him. Proof that beyond my little "sphere" I have no clue. And Robert continues to expand our knowledge.
I became aware of him by chance!, after his death, through an article in my daily Swiss newspaper „Tages-Anzeiger“ captioned with: „Justin Trudeau bursts into tears“, where he talked about Canada’s favorite band and commented on Downie’s death.

Robert, I would be interested to know, how long your band worked on this project from the idea to publication.
And who of you is responsible for the music composition?
Thanks Birgit

Thanks everyone! We actually worked on this song for about 1 year. Yes! It's crazy. The composition was already made by The Tragically Hip. We just copied the parts individually and we hire a mixing engineer to put it together.
Hmmm, and now, who will be the Hip Replacement?
"After Downie died on October 17, 2017,[4] the band announced in July 2018 that they would no longer perform under the name.[5] The surviving members have, however, continued to pursue other musical projects, and have begun releasing compilation albums of previously unreleased songs from the band's archives."
"Gord Downie, singer of The Tragically Hip, died of complications from brain cancer Tuesday night at the age of 53..."
"Gordie said he had lived many lives," his family writes. "As a musician, he lived 'the life' for over 30 years, lucky to do most of it with his high school buddies. At home, he worked just as tirelessly at being a good father, son, brother, husband and friend. No one worked harder on every part of life than Gord. No one."
