These tracks are dedicated to two of my favorite late comedians - Bill Hicks and Phil Hartman. However, the tracks are in the style of B.B. King.
- The first track: Phil is Gone.mp3 - Key of B Minor 😀
- The second track: Bill is Gone.mp3 - Key of A Minor 😋

Now you have me thinking about BB's "Completely Well" album- a hard funky jam album that ends on such the simmering blues and strings outro song. Killer collection.

Sounds great I will have to check it out. I was reminiscing about some of the 80's stuff I used to listen to and found one of my all time favs. Clayton, you gotta listen to this one and wait for the Bass solo! Do you know the band?
Craig- Tell me that's Santana with all those drums and jammedness! Man that's some fun stuff, I really enjoyed that.... and I gotta share it with my jam crew (we've added in a sometime keyboard player who lays a herbie hancock bassline like a junior headhunter).
You know what happens when the drums stop- yep, bass solo.

Hey Clayton it's a band called Rare Earth. Glad you enjoyed it. So a third member. Awesome.. When will we hear some tunes? Have you named the band yet?
Here is my latest effort. Let me know.
Rare Earth?!!! Wow, what a name from the wayback machine. I thought that was some killer good feel going on with that music- now I have to get me some more. Craig, you knew just what would fit me ears and left foot, many thanks for sharing and inspiring, Brother.
And speaking of sharing- your recent project is fantastic! I have some major bend vibrato envy going on, but thats the tip of the iceberg for the arrangement and path where the music takes my mind. Two Thumbs Up on a cool tune that moves, bends and grooves. We are lucky to have you posting and inspiring.
The Funky Drummer project was working under the name of "Double D" but with the addition of Paul, I recommended DDP for a name.
The Rare Earth album is called Midnight Lady if you want to track it down.
Thanks for the positive reflections on my latest. My next one is embryonic at the moment and I was wondering if you would be interested in contributing? PM me and let me know.
