To join the jam, visit this thread in the forum as I'm going to post the live stream link here.

Use this time zone converter to see when 15:30 MDT is for you.

I'll talk about Jam 6, and then I'll introduce Jam 7 and give you some tips on how to play over it.

Got any lesson questions for me? Let me know and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

@robert, you have created such a nice backing track for jam7 😊.

I'm sure it will be fun to practice a solo over it.

Here are my questions:

Could you explain a little more the chord progression and also how the Fmaj7 chord fits in there?

The Em pentatonic is certainly appropriate, what else could we use?

I'm really looking forward to your explanations and I'm sure I'll get some new ideas and suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance!

Birgit

I believe you said there were some attachments for this live stream.  Never saw any. Not even the chord progression chart.

Here is the page to the archived stream. On the right hand you have a link to the lesson files: https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/lesson/pink-floyd-style-ballad/

Robert, I just watched the replay and I'm happy about the amount of information you gave us on how to play a solo over this chord progression:

What scale to use, how to deal with the F chord, how to find the chord tones, how to find triads and improvise with them, how to find strong epic notes, and so on.

And you also improvised and gave us an insight into how it can sound.

I think we have a good basis now to approach our solos.

Thank you very much for your efforts 👍,

Birgit

@robert  Hi Robert and ALL. VinMus here; just want you’all to know that I am hang’n in there/just had the opportunity today to watch & listen to the Sept 12 Live stream/Pink Floyd ballad ‘tutorial’ suggestions. I enjoyed it and will be working on it on my own when I can. In a little over a week or so I will be able to devote much more time to practice/& music, can’t wait!!
