I can't wait to release the new course for you! It's very awesome!
However, life has been extremely busy with appointments - dentist, orthodontist, coaching at the university (my side gig), car repairs, treatment for my injured hip, etc. Insane actually. However, next week is much freer, which will be a sigh of relief.
I have done some testing of Live Video on YouTube, and I think I have it figured out. I can get good quality video and good sound, so I'm going start doing live video regularly, starting very soon. I'll keep you update on those details.
Now for tonight, I've got the chance to see my all time favourite player, John Scofield, in Calgary. So, my drummer and I are soon leaving for the 2.5 hour drive to see the band Hudson. My treat for this week. Will be a late night but these guys are my heroes. I may try to record some audio...
Here is a really cool version of a Hendrix tune from their latest album.
Awesome. Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy a great show. We'll be watching for the videos!!!
Hey Robert , I was online with you for the testing of Live Video on YouTube. From here in Australia it sounded stretched like a flanger with a dominant bass. Sync was OK. Hope this helps.
Looking forward to the new lesson. BTW. Although I have sooooooooooo much still to work with. Like a kid in a candy store!!!!!
Warmest regards, Craig.
Have a great time!
It was great! I loved hearing these guys play. They are at a level few people will reach. Inspiring!
Craig, thanks for the feedback. It was not successful and I have already set up a different method, one that both looks and sounds quite nice! I will do the first "real" Youtube Live fairly soon.
Robert,
I enjoyed the live YouTube video very much. I thought it sounded great. You had a great tone that night. I think you even mentioned how you thought it sounded particularly good.
Love some of the Hendrix chops you were playing and the sense of humor! 🙂
Bill
Medeski & Scofield? Yeah!!! Definitely worth the drive. I did not know of this Hudson configuration, but that's some serious upstate NY vibes.
You may recall I was lucky enough to see MMW in a small venue in NYC last January. Cool stuff.
You keep it up RR, and I am psyched to hear about new lesson plans.
