I'm on a Philip Sayce trip again... he is just great at what he does. SRV & Hendrix on steroids!

Great player, no doubt. I've listened to some of his music via Spotify. I think he played around here sometime back but I was unable to make it. I'll keep an eye out for his return to the area... if we ever start having shows again!

I feel bad for musicians that rely on gigging for a living. Tough times for them.

Thanks for the video!

He has a new album out. I haven’t listened to it yet.

Robert,

Guitar Techniques Magazine is the only guitar rag I subscribe to anymore.  It is filled with lessons and transcriptions and other educational material.  No stories about personalities and in-band fights and other fluff.  and very little advertising.  Expensive on this side of the ocean but I think worth it.

But I'm not posting to sell subscriptions.  They agree with you about Phillip Sayce.  This month (May) they have a video masterclass by him.  I haven't studied yet but I will report back.

It really bothers me because the first paragraph of the article says he was one of the artists on the Blues Cruise and I didn't see him! 😫 🤬 Not quite sure how we missed him
