Since @Robert gave solid mention to guitarist Oz Not, I figured to give him a shout out for the Essential: Funk Rhythm course on Truefire.
Robert, I presume your connection was facilitated by your mutual membership as Truefire instructors.
Oz seems like a guy that thinks outside of the box.
Now if I could only get to see Oz and McErlain in NYC!
Oz Noy is someone I've followed for a few years. He is an advanced jazz rock guy, and I really like most of his compositions too. He is very creative and different.
I bought an improvisation course he made several years back. This was long before he did anything on Truefire. So I haven't connected with him for Truefire reasons, so to speak. I chatted with him briefly at NAMM a few years ago. He's a nice, cool guy.
He has lessons in a few different places. Check his website store https://www.oznoy.com/store/
Check this video out regarding patterns. It's the same ideas as my lesson, although my video is very detailed and specific, whereas his videos are more demonstrating the concepts in a masterful way.
Cool video, thanks for the extra insights.
@robert, Oz Noy has a remarkable way of explaining the concepts and looking at the whole thing from a meta-level.
Nevertheless, I’m very very, very happy, that your explanations are « very detailed and specific », presented with a certain calmness and empathy, making it possible to follow your explanations much better 👍.
In this sense, thank you again,
Birgit
