Remember when some of us were talking about Markus King Band? I could not find the original post. He is here in Omaha tonight! At an intimate little bar called the Slowdown in downtown Omaha. The jury, meaning my back, is still out on whether we will be able to go see them. But I'm going to do everything in my power to make it happen! (meaning legal drugs) I sure would not want to miss this opportunity!
Hope you get to go, Ron!
I just missed getting to see Marcus playing with Soul Live at the Brooklyn Bowl 2 weeks ago when we were in town.
Ron, Good luck with your back and chance to see Markus King. Hope you make it OK
Hope you make it Ron......fingers crossed.
Here's a nice article and interview with him.

AND...C'mon Ron the suspense is killin' me!!!
Guys, thanks for the well wishes and sorry for the delayed response. We did get to it and it was, predictably, awesome. More details to follow.
Now- You are a Lucky Dog. I am sure it was phenomenal.
Clayton, it was, in fact, phenomenal. He is an awesome player. but there are a lot of awesome players out there, even ones as young as him. But at his age, I think he is now 21?, he has put together this band complete with horn section, organized how many tours?, and put out 2 cds. And still really seems to have his head screwed on correctly. Everything I have heard or read about him reports he is still a nice young man.
And for us gear heads apparently he is now playing with a Gibson reissue 345. He has decided that the Gibby 345 that he toured with until recently, the one that was his grandfather's, I think it was something like a 1964, is just too valuable. He has decided to leave it at home. At first glance it looks identical to my Gibson 1972 325 so I secretly live vicariously through Marcus!
Here is an absolutely horribly, disgusting phone recording of the one song:
Wow, and another small venue to catch sutch big talent! So glad you got to experience that group. Thanks for sharing the video, Ron.
