Hey guys, here are some great material to listen to. I have quite recently discovered this music, and I've been learning and enjoying it a lot! I'll be teaching you more of what I've learned in upcoming lessons.

One thing to note about these players is that they are phenomenal at comping too. Their chordal work is a treasure trove of rhythm guitar that really brings the goods to a song!

Hollywood Fats, Kid Ramos, Junior Watson, Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard.

This is all new territory for me, Robert. I didn't know any of these musicians before.

I learn a lot from listening to them and I have to say that I particularly like the way Ronnie Earl plays, especially with the jazzy touch. The way he builds up the last solo/improvisation from about 1 hour 9 minutes in, I really get goosebumps at the end. So wonderfully played 👍.

Thanks for sharing these videos,

Birgit

I found several nice live shows on YouTube with Duke Robillard. Inspiring! He is a great player.

He is a genius. A throwback to the old players.  One of my favourites.
