I keep running into GH's work, style, influence, influences, and spinoffs that are nothing short of an exponential example of the many arms of Vishnu. OK, funky analogies aside, GH's work rises from country greats like Chet Atkins, stirred by the spirituality of India (yes, GH was the first Beatle to publish a solo album while in the Beatles. Oh, the title? Wonderwall). And GH worked with so many, like material for Clapton, Badfinger, and then there's the Traveling Wilburys.
So, I've been working on songs around this GH theme: And I Love Her, All My Loving, Something, My Sweet Lord, What is Life, Badge, Baby Blue, and No Matter What. Of course While My Guitar Gently Weeps is on the periphery of maybe I can get to that.
Thoughts, anybody?
I haven't listened to him very much for some reason. I like what I have heard of course.
This is quite awesome:
I also love this version. I saw John Abercrombie in Sweden 25 years ago.
