Sounds like a good weekend - have a good one!
Small scale festival with a unique music experience. Thursday night Del brought out a NOLO brass and rhythm section to play with Del's band. Follow the lineage back to Jazz n Bluegrass with a hint of Dixieland and Ragtime for the Banjo, Guitar and Violin. The result was a more current blending of the two musical cousins and a damn good time.
Friday night featured Trey Anastasio Band playing a lot of Trey's upbeat tunes. Guitar work featured major scale runs, serious blues tones, and some blistering solos backed by island rhythms played by two drummers, a keyboard player, and a tasty horn section. Trey's playing was so versatile.
And the small scale festival with a family atmosphere made for a polite group that shared space right up front of the stage and a lot of kindness and fun in the festival.
