I love this one!

I think the answer will be "practice Frank", but I ask anyhow: I tend to do alternate picking instead of hammer-offs on the 5th string ( d to b ) every now and then, which spoils the tempo. e.g. start the e major triad with down down up, and then instead of d to b hammeroff I do the alternate.

Is there any hint? Practice a series of hammeroffs ( an arpeggio maybe?)

THX

Frank

Practice 2 note hammer-ons and pull-offs with the pentatonic boxes. I think less picking sounds sweeter too and often you can do faster runs with legato playing, vs alternate picking.

It's also a preference - nothing wrong with alternate picking if it works for you! 🙂
