Really Nice addition to the arsenal- I burned more than an hour just cycling through this concept and making up riffs.   I plugged into my DigiTech Trio Band Creator (which was getting dusty in the corner) and fired up a rhythm section, worked over the exercises, then built several more 5 notes riffs to ride all over the bars.  I liked this concept as much for a churning rhythm on some lower notes, even slightly muted to give it that heavy rock seriousness.  After that I experimented with two sets 5 note riffs.  Arguably you could call it a 10 note riff but each 5 note pattern was distinct enough that you would hear it as two sets of 5.  Needless to say this was addictive fun that was challenging, eye opening and a cool tool to pull when you want to grab some ears.
