Hello To All,

I started out with formal music lessons on a keyboard accordion when I was 8 years old. It was not cool playing the squeeze box so I started teaching myself piano and guitar and never took formal lessons on either of those. In high school band I played tuba, trumpet and sax. Again, I have not taken formal lessons for any instrument since I was about 10.  So almost everything I've learned has been by ear and experimentation since internet video lessons were about 30 years in the future yet. My day job has always made it difficult to commit to in-person lessons, so that's why I decided to take on-line lessons a couple of years ago. I've tried many teachers on-line and found Robert here at MGA to be the best for several reasons ... #1 being Quality.  Over the years I've played in bands, and experimented in recording. My website has many samples of a self taught musician faking it in style. Anyhow, I'm here to learn more about how to play the guitar properly.

Welcome tawmy! You sound great and your compositions and productions are very good! Don't be hard on yourself. Faking is what we all do to a certain degree. In the end, all that really matters is what sounds good. In the words of Metallica - nothing else matters.
