Hello everyone, My name is Rich and I bought myself this subscription for my xmas present. I'm from Chicago originally and played in many rock/blues bands during 90s before moving to St. Louis. I have not played for past 15 years much due to life events but back at it now with much passion and excitement. The Stout Blues video I came across on youtube brought me here. It is the perfect sample I found that connects where I was to where I want to get. I'm very focused on analyzing Robert's choice of notes over the chord changes and turnarounds. In the past I think I got by on more of a trick bag and didn't have a good foundation for changing the soloing based on chord changes. Also, learning already with Stout blues how pauses/rests and rhythmic variation add a lot of flavor to the sound. Loving it so far. Glad to be here! -Rich

Hey welcome Rich!
Thanks for joining. Stout Blues is probably the most sophisticated solo course I've done so far. I think there is a lot that can be learned from it. The deeper analysis video should be helpful, I'm hoping.
You probably want to check this one out too - https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/course/12-bar-blues-solo-advanced/
Do share recordings and clips if you can - it's a great way to get feedback from both myself and the community.
The Student Focus videos are a must-do task for all members!
Welcome, Rich, I hope your Christmas gift fits!
