I have been a picker since I WAS 10, playing with two older brothers and touring with a BC trademark "Evan Kemp and the Trailriders" at sixteen It was a great time to be in music because there was alwas a dance to play for or a radio show. I played all the old standards and the current R&R at the time. There was no end to musical changes during the 50, 60 & 70s. I got a bug for learning Jazz but never had any opportunity to learn the theory behind those tensions and so forth. I look forward to getting into the theory and detail with Robert and the membership at MGA.
I have had too much exposure to loud noise ( Construction and mill work ) and my hearing (note recognition) is suffering for it. If only I knew then...etc.
I look forward to other musicians expressing opinions and knowledge, all the best to the members and teacher Robert Renman,...sincerly, Sandy
Ps maybe I can curry some favours with Robert seeing as how I am 95% Swedish and ONLY my dad was from Norway....just kidding, he'll probably give me a hard time about that now!
It's alright, we now have two posts to get to know you better - it's all good!
