Hi. My name is Scott and I am excited to break out of my rut with MGA.
My interests are primary blues and rock, influenced by many: Clapton, Larry Carlton, and the other greats. More modern influences include Matt Schofield and KWS.
Primary instruments are strats with a Fender Deluxe. A variety of effects but overall slight gain or clear channel and a small amount of delay are my go to tones. My acoustics are a Martin EC as well as a solid walnut Taylor.
I am gaining interest in some of the modern country players and learning to play melodically in major keys. Happy to be part of this team!!!!
Welcome aboard Scott. It's nice that you found us. Robert is a great and very melodic player. So you came to a good place.
Sounds like you have some great gear to work with.
Have fun.
Hi Scott, welcome to the team!
My most recent Stout Blues should interest you, I hope. A challenging solo in the style of Matt Schofield. I've got some Carlton lick under "lick of the week", and I have a Clapton course called Reconsidering Blues that you might like.
Welcome! I have a grafted walnut 710 myself and love the tone, as much as I like a slightly dirty Fender classic amp (Deville in my arsenal).
Well, you're in a good place to break the rut, gather some insightful instruction on those influences, and make your way to better melodic playing. Be sure to Record!
Thank you for making this site happen. The videos are very high quality and your teaching style is appreciated. I am sure I will have some questions as I reacquaint myself with some of the basics :).
Thanks Clayton. I appreciate your support. And now for the hard work. PS the solid walnut taylor is great!
Something about Walnut. My first Taylor.
Crazy good tone!
