Hello everyone,
I'm a guitarist of (way too many) years and I should be so much better than I am but I guess it's easier to just noodle than learn and grow.
I stopped playing for about 5 or 6 years thinking that I was done with the guitar but recently I decided to pick it up again and bought a tele and a bassbreaker 15 amp.
I'm bound and determined to play better now..no more noodling, no more just blindly sitting on the couch and regurgitating the same tired pentatonic crap over and over. I want to really learn how to play melodically and well. I want to make the improvements that I didn't make for many many years.
I'm really liking the videos provided...there are so many valuable snippets of information, it's like finding a pot of gold among guitar lessons.
Right now I'm starting slow with "triads A and D" all over the neck and the video about how to play chords and melody at the same time.

Welcome to MGA. I, like you, should be playing much better than I do. As you have already discovered there are a lot of good video to work with here.; I think you will enjoy yourself. Have fun!

Sounds like you are really motivated because you have already started with your practice. It’s a good starting point for the new year. Keep it up!
I’m sure you will find your way through all the inspiring lessons. Even Robert’s exercises sound so melodic, it’s a pleasure to learn them.
