Hi everyone. My name is Aaron and I just joined up. I've been trying to learn since I was much younger.
I'm from Maryland in the US.
My goal is to finally learn the guitar and music. I started back in the early '70s mostly just playing power chords and putting down what I thought were decent rhythms with a few garage bands in my area. Life got in the way and I put the guitar down for a long time. Now in my sixties I have found a little more time on my hands. I have surrounded myself with what I think is some pretty decent equipment and I'm ready to learn and play more.
I'm heavily influenced by the blues be it modern or classic and I just want to be able to express my love of music finally on the finger board. I'll need a lot of help because I still consider myself a beginner.
From what I've seen of Robert's courses and teaching style this might be a match made in heaven.
Wish me luck!
Hey Aaron, welcome! I’m relatively new here, in the same age demographic, and think Roberts lessons and this site are, for blues, as you say, a match made in heaven. It’s got me really stoked about playing. Hope it’s the same for you. Cheers.
Hey Aaron, thanks for joining.
We'd love to hear you play. Blues is is a common thread here.
A good intro to blues is this one - https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/course/introduction-to-the-12-bar-blues/
