hi ya.ll, i guess i,m the new guy on the block...i grew up listning to country music, both of my parents were musical and my mon could sing good,i started playing guitar when i was 17, times were tough, and it was 7 more years until i bought my first guitarover the years i ended up playing bass guitar for many groups, even in church...my favorite music is all of it.i love the old country music then in the 70,s i was into ccr and the doobie bros. i broke my right wrist really bad at work and was off for over a year, and when i got back to playing i would always feel a little pain when i played, some old friends had me over to listen to their bluegrass and i loved it ,so i got started at playing flat picking style for 7-8 yrs....but i would always go back and listen to my favorites from the 70,s then i caught robert on u-tube and i thought wow, i could do this ,,lol so here i am.... i am from a island in northern nova scotia called cape breton...so here,s hoping we all get what we want here so good music.....Alex.
Whoa, the Earth's axis tilt must be extreme up in Nova Scotia- hang on to the wall, Alex!
Well, bring all those years of music appreciation and playing to the Forum- Welcome to the MGA. I just saw a bluegrass player at lunch today, his group plays a lot of classic rock renditions with some serious ole timers and wicked talented players. Bring yourself in to a recording sample and share your musical ideas when you settle into the Forum.
Alex
I have some somewhat vague meories of visiting Cape Breton many years back. My recollection is that it is a beautiful area.
Welcome to MGA, It sounds like you have a very broad range of musical tastes. I look forward to hearing more about your musical adventures...
Welcome Alex! You’ve come to a friendly place with lots of lessons and lots of encouraging guitarists.
Great to see more Canada here!
